We make everyday things worth keeping

Blank Habit is a small Norwegian home brand with one slightly stubborn belief: The things you use every single day should be well made, good to look at, and built to last longer than a single trip to the bin. We're a young company, doing it our own way, from Oslo.

We'd rather make a few things beautifully than a hundred things cheaply

Founding Story

It started with a mild irritation

"Blank Habit started with me — a mum in Oslo, quietly fed up with how my home kept filling up with things I'd never choose to look at, only to use. Everyday essentials, bought on autopilot and thrown away just as fast.

The greener options always seemed to come with a catch: they either didn't really work, or they were designed like they were apologising for existing. I wanted the opposite — everyday things that are genuinely lovely to own, do their job properly, and don't leave a heap of waste behind.

So I set out to make them. Fewer, better things — made to be kept and topped up, not bought and binned. That's the whole idea, really. The rest is just details, and we care about every one of them."

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Four things we're stubborn about

Keep what's good

We design for the long version of things — made to be kept and reused, not replaced on a schedule. Less stuff, chosen more carefully. Better for the planet is just the bonus.

Make it desirable

The sustainable choice should also be the one you'd pick on looks alone. Good design, a scent worth keeping, and something you'll actually want on display — not hidden under the sink.

No lectures

We're not here to guilt-trip you. We'd just rather make the better choice the easy, obvious, nicer-looking one — and let it speak for itself. Do good, feel good, skip the sermon.

Proudly nordic

Made in Oslo and shaped by where we're from — in how it looks, how it's scented, and how little fuss we tend to make about it.

WHERE THIS GOES

We're only getting started

Right now we're a small team with a short shelf of products and rather large plans for the rest of the home. We'd rather do a few things properly than a hundred things halfway — so we're building it out slowly, one considered thing at a time.

We haven't changed anything yet. We're a young brand finding its feet, in Norway first and further afield in time. But we're doing it the deliberate way — and honestly, that's the part we like most.
